How do I install and use the Cloudalize app?

If you do not wish to open your browser, go to the platform and login every time it is also possible to download and install the Electron app. This is a small application that will show the platform without the need of having to login each time.

How to install on Windows:

1. To download the installer please click here, the download will start automatically
2. Double click the .exe file.
   
3. Once the installation is finished enter your Cloudalize login credentials
   
4. From now on you can connect to your desktop from the Electron app!

How to install on Mac:

1. To download the installer please click here, the download will start automatically
2. Double click the .dmg file to start the installation.
   
   
   
3. After you opened the .dmg file, you will receive following error message.
   
   
   
   
4. Go to System Preferences - Security & Privacy.
   Here you will see that the Cloudalize.app is blocked.
   Click on Open Anyway.
   
   
   
   
5. Now you can start the installation.
   
   
6. Once the installation is finished enter your Cloudalize login credentials
   
7. From now on you can connect to your desktop from the Electron app!

Creating a shortcut for the desktop

If you're planning to leave the desktop turned on 24/7 it is also possible to create a shortcut to the desktop, allowing you to connect with a single click.

To do this, you only have to click the "add to launchpad button" above the desktop:

You can now find the shortcut back in your "applications" folder

You can now launch the desktops from these shortcuts. Please note that these won't work unless the desktop is turned on in the background!

Notifications are also shown in the native client, next to the profile icon.
Here you will see messages regarding the Cloudalize Platform, such as new releases, scheduled maintenance and incidents.
